PJ began his television career at WCYB-TV in 1981 after working as a newspaper and radio reporter. A graduate of East Tennessee State University, PJ worked as a news, weather and sports reporter for WCYB before taking a sports position in Springfield, Massachusetts.
PJ returned home to the Tri-Cities as Sports Director in 1995.
A member of the National Motorsports Press Association, PJ has won a first place reporting award every year since 2004.
In 2005, PJ claimed the “Russ Catlin” motorsports journalism award beating out 250 other entries.
After anchoring on both WCYB and WEMT, PJ joined the Fox Tri-Cities team fulltime in October, 2008.
PJ’s daughter Morgan suffers from Type One Diabetes, and he is very active in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. PJ and Morgan produce a public service announcement every year and participate in the JDRF Walk and fundraising campaign.
