Meet The Fox Tri-Cities News Team
     
   LESLIE ALMAROAD Leslie is from east Tennessee; she is a graduate of Sullivan Central High School and East Tennessee State University. While at ETSU, Leslie began an internship in the newsroom at WCYB. After graduating, she moved to fulltime videography/editing, and worked her way up to reporting. She moved to fulltime reporting in 2005 and usually covers the Sullivan County and Kingsport beat. Leslie Almaroad
   
Preston Ayres
   PRESTON AYRES is from east Tennessee; he is a graduate of Daniel Boone High School and ETSU. While at ETSU, Preston interned in the newsroom at WCYB and proved to be so valuable that he moved to fulltime as a videographer/editor after graduation. Preston moved to fulltime reporting in 2006, and he added the weekend anchor responsibilities in 2008.

   SHERRIE EVANS is a native Floridian and a graduate of the University of South Florida. Before joining the Fox Tri-Cities team, Sherrie reported and anchored for stations in Birmingham, Alabama; Greenville, North Carolina; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She and her husband Brandon moved to the Tri-Cities when Sherrie joined the Fox Tri-Cities staff as weekend news anchor and reporter in January 2007.    
       
     ANGELA YINGLING is from Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. While in college, Angela interned with WKYC-TV and WEWS-TV in Cleveland, and WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh. She began her career as a production assistant with WKYC-TV in Cleveland, and then moved to WVVA-TV and CW10 in Bluefield, West Virginia, where she also anchored and produced for the CW newscast. Angela joined the Fox Tri-Cities Team in March, 2008.

   VELDEN LINN grew up in West Virginia, graduated from Concord University, interned with WTAP in Parkersburg while in college, and began his career as a reporter with WVVA-TV in Bluefield, West Virginia. After reporting on stories ranging from the Virginia Tech shootings to the Cucumber mine disaster during his two years at WVVA, Velden joined the Fox Tri-CitiesTeam in March, 2008..
